I started smoking around the age of 15 due to stress and anxiety. It was never about "looking cool" infront of my friends, it was a way of dealing/getting over things. I am now a few months of being 18 years old. For 3 years I was a heavy smoker, 20-25 a day, and as a quite young person that's not what your body needs to grow and be healthy. A few months ago I decided to cut back each and every day until I was having 5-10 a day. Sadly we got news that a family member was sick with cancer and they were a smoker aswell. We decided to quit together to get this nasty stuff out of our bodies and become healthy and strong again. I am now on day 4 and having patches (which I don't think I need anymore) I didn't realise that once you have the right mindset you can really fight. I haven't felt like a smoke at all. I've gotten frustrated and upset but I've picked myself back up, I have a mother who was a smoker 14+ years ago and she thankfully quit. I'm glad I have an experienced ex smoker by my side the whole way! Remember it's all mental, you can tell yourself no and shortly the cravings will go away! Good luck on your journey if you decide to quit!
