Smokefree environments

Smokefree environments are an important part of tobacco control and public health. They protect the public from the harms of second-hand smoke, de-normalise smoking, reduce the number of young people who start smoking and reduce the amount of tobacco people smoke.

The growing recognition of the health effects of second-hand smoke has driven the adoption of smokefree policies.
