Since our establishment in 1985, there has been considerable progress in reducing the harm that tobacco causes in our community. Victoria's smoking rates have fallen substantially in both men and women and other advances include legislation to protect people from second-hand smoke, phasing out most tobacco advertising, banning of smoking in workplaces, exposing tobacco industry practices and most recently introducing plain packaging. These have been achieved through the efforts of many parties, but much more needs to be achieved.

Real life stories

Quitting smoking was easy for me.
